Teaching Specialist

Position Title: Teaching Specialist (Full-Time, Licensed K-6 Educator)
Organization: Children’s Performing Arts (CPA)
Location: White Bear Lake, MN, and surrounding community partner locations
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time; combination of school-day instruction and flexible hours for CPA programming, including some evenings/weekends
Start Date: August 2025
Reports To: Education & Programs Manager

Position Summary:
Children’s Performing Arts is seeking a licensed elementary educator to join our team as a full-time specialist. This role includes classroom instruction as part of a new school-based arts education initiative and support for year-round CPA programming. Ideal candidates will have experience in arts integration, student-centered instruction, and a passion for creative education.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Tier 3 OR Tier 4 Minnesota K-6 Elementary School Teaching License. Background in Theatre preferred.
  • At least a full year of licensed teaching experience outside of collegiate prep programming.
  • Willingness to teach OUTDOORS in all seasonal weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass background checks in accordance with state and organizational policies
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends
  • Commitment to collaborative teaching and working with youth in creative settings
