Ticketing and Performance Policies

Relaxed Performances: For every mainstage show in our season, Children’s Performing Arts hosts a relaxed performance. This allows patrons with sensory, social, physical, and cognitive needs to attend a production in a safe and welcoming environment. Modifications to this performance include lights remaining dim in the audience, elimination of intense lighting and sound effects, and audiences being free to move around the space and make any noises they need to make. Fidgets, noise-canceling headphones, and modified seating are also welcome into the space!

All Relaxed Performances are pay-what-you-can and advance reservations are not needed. For any questions regarding Relaxed Performances please contact Maddie Ripperger at maddier@childrensperformingartsmn.org.

You can find our most updated social narrative for Forest Lake High School HERE, for Lakes International Language Academy HERE, and for Hanifl Performing Arts Center HERE.

Group Rate: The group rate allows patrons to receive a 15% discount on regular-priced tickets for 10 or more people. To purchase on our website patrons can select tickets as usual (Adult, Student, and Senior) and add the discount code CPAGROUP.

Tickets can also be reserved in advance via email or over the phone. All orders must be purchased in full, two weeks prior to the performance. If tickets are not purchased two weeks prior to the scheduled performance, the order will be released for individual sales.

Step-by-step instructions to purchase group tickets can be found in the video below. For any questions regarding group sales please contact Riley Peltz at rileyp@childrensperformingartsmn.org.

Pay-What-You-Can: Children’s Performing Arts believes that theatre should be accessible to all audiences, regardless of economic status. CPA reserves a certain amount of “pay-what-you-can” tickets at each performance of all of our mainstage production, with no minimum price. Patrons are limited to buying four pay-what-you-can tickets per production and the tickets are first come, first served.

  • 12 Tickets available per performance for productions on the mainstage at the Hanifl Performing Arts Center
  • 16 Tickets available per performance for productions at Lakes International Language Academy
  • 24 Tickets available per performance for productions at Forest Lake High School
  • Tickets are not available for black box productions

At ticket purchase select the pay-what-you-can seat. This will give you an option on ticket purchase amount where you can enter the amount for each ticket you are able to pay. From here you can continue to checkout and purchase as usual!
