What will this program entail?

Have no fear, Shakespeare is here (and we’re going to make it a whole lot more interesting than they do in your high school English class)!

In this unique, one-month process, students will have the opportunity to workshop and perform scenes and monologues from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The intent of the program is to make Shakespeare easier to understand and more exciting for our students to explore.

Initial rehearsals will involve text work that acquaints students with the plot and story arc of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Once the cast is determined, students will spend the next few weeks rehearsing their scenes and monologues. The process will culminate in a performance featuring scenes and monologues from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
